Oh man! where to begin. I know I’ve been neglecting this side of the Patreon, super sorry about that. Things are going to be changing and very much for the better! I have hired a new business consultant who is also taking up the reigns for managing the new website. Katmai has been a wonderful new addition to the team behind the scenes so I hope as some of you who interact more socially on discord and Telegram will give her a nice warm welcome!
I would also like to give a big warm squishy thank you to Socks the Fox for his loyal service in maintaining and running my website for all of these years. And He’s still going to be working on and maintaining, updating, and improving our stream chat-bot “Socks Bot” Which is an invaluable resource to the nightly commission streams. You should ask him about it!
Going Forward:
The actual Patreon Page is going to be getting more attention. As some of you know that as the artist I am just one person struggling through making the comic every week. Gen is my writer and she’s been doing an amazing job at it and will continue to! She’s also decided to turn GLORY our second project that’s also sponsored here, into a novel. (which also means we can get the story out to you much faster)
Over the last few years I’ve started adding volunteer staff to help with the more nitty gritty tedium that comes with being an artist on the internet. Things like posting art and videos and re-posting the comic in all the various places that it can get eyes on it etc. I can’t do all of that by myself or things start getting neglected if I try. Like this place. Which isn’t good. Because you guys help me keep the lights on, literally.
Some of my volunteer staff will be helping me with posting regular artwork and things here. The -AWESOME- thing is that the Patreon will be able to post directly to the website. In the near future, you will be able to connect your Patreon credentials to the Isla Aukate website and see the content available to you at your tier. I am so excited to unlock this feature to you hopefully in the next month.
All of this is to say, please be patient with us during this transition phase. We had initially planned to have a fully fledged and finished website to show you in a month, but the previous server had a security issue and for safty reasons the old website needed to be taken offline. No word yet on the how or why as my webhost has a life and is on vacation right now. So we decided this was a sign and pushed the new site live to fill in the gap from my alternative host.
Thank you again for your continued support and patience as we stumble through to the future!
